School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.
Our school events may include:

Book Week
Book Week is a special time at our school where we celebrate a love of reading. Students take part in fun activities throughout the week, in particular our annual Book Week Parade where our students enthusiastically and creatively dress up for our parade.
Education Week Open day
School open day is an opportunity for students, parents and carers to get to know our school.
We welcome families into our school to celebrate their child's Learning Journey during Education Week.
P&C meetings
Date: Second Tuesday of each month during the school term
Time: 7pm
Join our vibrant P&C. Meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month in the staffroom. Parents and carers are welcome to attend.
Swimming Carnivals
Each year, Albury West Public School holds its swimming carnival at the Albury Swim Centre.
Students who are successful will then be selected to compete at the zone-level swimming carnival.
Athletics Carnival
Each year, Albury West Public School holds its athletics carnival at Les O'Brien Athletics Precinct.
Students who are successful will then be selected to compete at the zone-level athletics carnival.
Cross Country Carnival
Each year, Albury West Public School holds its cross country carnival at the school.
Students who are successful will then be selected to compete at the zone-level cross country carnival.
Easter Hat Parade
Each year on Easter Thursday we hold our Easter Hat Parade under the COLA.
Students enthusiastically make their wonderful hats for the parade and display them with pride.
Our local pre-schools are invited to participate in the annual parade.
Parents/Carers and the community are welcome to attend.
